Who We are
Association for Promotion of the Youth (APY) is a grassroots community based organisation established by group of youth in 2004, to work on addressing the challenges of young people to improve on the quality of their lives through education, training, advocacy and sensitisation.
The organization works to support the needs and rights of children and youth in rural and slum communities in Uganda. The organisation has four main programs: Human Rights promotion, Health care and education, skills and livelihood development and intercultural exchange. These programs support the setting up of individual or group small scale entrepreneurship to create new jobs for youth, providing them with vocational skills training as well as small grants to jumpstart their business.

Our Aims
- To build the capacity of young people through vocational training, life skills and entrepreneurship skills development for self-employment
- To raise the levels of awareness among young people and communities about HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases in the community
- To educate and sensitize young people and communities about conservation and environment protection for sustainable development
- To advocate, protect and promote the rights of the vulnerable people in the community
