Our education and sponsorship programme offers holistic education sponsorship program to vulnerable children in rural communities, slum areas and fishing communities from pre-primary to tertiary institutions.
This program supports and empowers youth
and vulnerable households to become productive and live self-sustained lives.
APY trains youth in vocation, life and entrepreneurship skills
like, Tailoring & design, Art & Craft, brick making, knitting,
driving skills, Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) etc.
This program promotes the right to health as enshrined in the un convention. It
educates, train and sensitize youth and community
members about hygiene, nutrition, care for the
bodies, general cleanness, treatment adherence
and health check ups
Young people are educated about their health, prevention from early pregnancies and Sexual diseases, HIV testing, counseling, treatment, referrals. Adolescent Reproduction this is done through training sessions and awareness campaigns, family planning, enhancing proper nutrition and sanitation
APY offers start up (interest free) small business loans to our graduates or households in the community to either startup or enhance the existing one. “If you give a person a fish you will feed them for a day, but if you teach them how to fish you will feed them for life”, Since the loan is paid off the money
APY uses sport such as foot and net ball, volley ball etc. Music, dance and drama, poetry performances to promote gender, equality as an important element to HIV/AIDS and drug/alcohol abuse prevention in a multicultural environment..
The organization uses music dance and drama to reach out to communities as a tool in education, training and sensitization on issues affecting the community. This a viable tool in passing out any message to the community members for it is both educative and
entertaining. It reaches to many community member in a short time
This program inspires young people to conserve the environment, plant trees, use of nature resources sparingly for the next generation, to harvest water and use energy saving machine (stoves). The campaign brings together business, community groups, schools and individuals in a range of activities waste management, tree planning that positively improve local environment management.
